Lee Sheriff seeks public help on identifying armed robbery suspect at nearby 7-11

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a robbery suspect. On Monday, Dec. 15 at approximately 4:58 a.m., deputies responded to an armed robbery at the 7-11, located at 17451 San Carlos Boulevard, Fort Myers.

The victims in the incident informed investigators that a man entered the store holding a long, black handgun. The suspect approached the front counter, instructing the employees to open the cash register. The employees complied with the suspect’s orders. The suspect then took the money and walked out of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. He entered a black or maroon vehicle with tinted windows and fled northbound on San Carlos Boulevard. None of the employees were injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, mid 20s, about 5’8″, 175-185lbs. He was wearing a white tank-top, a black and white checkered hooded jacket, black pants, and black shoes.
