Henderson Franklin attorneys O’Brien and Richmond discuss evidence at Family Law CLE

Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is proud to announce that Christina “Christy” O’Brien, chair of the firm’s Divorce, Marital, and Family Law Department, and Kayla Richmond, a Florida Bar Board Certified Marital and Family Law attorney, were featured speakers at the family law seminar hosted by the 20th Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Subcommittee on Friday, April 4, and held at the Lee County Justice Center in downtown Fort Myers.

O’Brien and Richmond led the session on “Evidence,” sharing practical insight and legal guidance for attorneys navigating evidentiary issues in family law cases. The complimentary, half-day seminar was open to all attorneys, whether new to family law or experienced practitioners looking to refine their skills. The conference offered sessions on form review, appellate practice and included a judicial panel featuring members of the 20th Judicial Circuit.

With over 20 years of experience, O’Brien is widely respected for her work in complex family law matters, including high-net-worth divorces, contested timesharing issues and the negotiation and enforcement of prenuptial agreements. She is known for delivering strategic legal guidance with empathy, helping clients navigate emotionally charged situations with clarity and confidence. A Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and appointed Guardian ad Litem in Lee County, O’Brien is also certified to provide parenting plan recommendations that serve the best interests of the child.

O’Brien has been consistently recognized for her work in family law, earning the distinction of “Top Lawyer” by Naples Illustrated from 2020 to 2024, and inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for 2024 and 2025.
