Rum Bucket fundraiser raises $10,000 for Golisano Children’s Hospital
The Salty Crab Bar and Grill’s Rum Bucket fundraiser donated a dollar for every rum bucket sold to the Golisano Children’s hospital.
The fundraiser began on March 1 and concluded on May 31. The check of $10,000 was presented to Golisano Children’s Hospital on July 16.
This was the Salty Crab’s fourth year holding the fundraiser. The restaurant raised $5,000 the first year, followed by $10,000 and 7,500 last year.
In total, the Salty Crab has raised $32,000 for Golisano Children’s Hospital.
Golisano Children’s Hospital was chosen because the Salty Crab Bar & grill sought to raise money for a cause that directly affected the community.
“The Salty Crab team is thrilled to be able to present Golisano Children’s Hospital with a donation check of $10,000. This is the fourth year we have partnered with Brinley’s Shipwreck Rum for our Rum Bucket Fundraiser, and we are so pleased with the outcome yet again,” said Jamie McElhone, the marketing director for the Salty Crab. “We couldn’t have done it without the help from the community and everyone who enjoyed one of those delicious Rum Buckets from March through May. Golisano Children’s Hospital is a vital part of the SWFL community, and we absolutely love partnering with, and being able to give them this donation. They do so much for so many families and we are honored to be able to play just a small role in ensuring that they continue to grow and provide care for the children and families that need it most.”
The Salty Crab Bar & Grill is at 1154 Estero Blvd., Fort Myers Beach.
