Florida “polar” temperatures and a cloudy day didn’t stop hundreds from making the plunge.

The 13th annual Fort Myers Beach Polar Bear Dip occurred New Year’s Day out on the beach at the Outrigger, benefitting the Fort Myers Beach Benevolent Association local 1826. Polar Bear Club officer Ed Herbert said this year’s event was a success despite the weather, with approximately 350 people participating in the charity jump into the Gulf of Mexico.
