Junkanoo to close for remodel

Fort Myers Beach’s pizza lovers will have to look elsewhere for a slice of pie.
Junkanoo on the Beach is temporarily closing its doors Monday, July 31. The restaurant, located at 3040 Estero Boulevard, will be closed for three months as it undergoes a renovation. Junkanoo will be moving closer to Fresh Catch
“It will be better than before,” said controller Christine Wolf.
She said the restaurant will serve a buffet-style final meal and share a drink with its visitors and regulars on July 31 before the doors close.
