Lee County Utilities offers annual water quality report

1 min read

Every year, the Environmental Protection Agency requires all utilities to give an annual summary of the quality of their water. In the past, this requirement was met by directly mailing a copy of the report to all of its customers. Starting in 2012, EPA and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection are allowing utilities to place a copy of their report on a public website in lieu of mailing a hard copy.

Lee County Utilities’ 2012 Water Quality Report can be found at www.leewaterquality.com.

The ability to provide the report online eliminates the need to print and mail more than 70,000 copies. This method reduces the use of our environmental resources and substantially reduces the cost of producing the report.

In the report, customers will see that our water quality met or exceeded all federal and state requirements.

If customers would like a hard copy of the report, they can request a copy by calling Patty DiPiero at 533-8534.
