An innocent weekend boat trip turned into two missing local persons I mean mannequins!

The Cadillac, 16641 San Carlos Blvd., lost two of their “best employees”?last week two female mannequins who are always placed outside in front of the building, attracting customers and becoming their own little restaurant hot spot.

“The girls were outside the restaurant, displaying our menus. Three ladies came in for dinner and asked if they could borrow or rent [the two mannequins]. We agreed to rent them and they took the girls, leaving a deposit saying they were going for a boat ride and would be used for their party. They were going to re-dress them and maybe even give them some ‘tattoos,'” explained Helene Orisino, co-owner of The Cadillac, along with her husband, Jimmy. “They were due back last Sunday and still haven’t come back home. We’re offering a reward for the returnee dinner for two unless it’s the ladies who took them.”

Renting the two mannequins was an idea Helene nor Jimmy had thought about before.

“Prior to this, we had never thought of rentals. Those girls were a big attention-getter. Customers referred to them and took photos with them,” Helene said. “I told them they were my best employees: always there, honest and obedient. I had them on our Facebook page quite a few times and they got more attention than we expected! If anyone has any idea who has them, or if they’ve seen them, please call the restaurant, 267-4132, or email TheCadillac@centurylink.net. We are hoping they are returned soon.”
