Matanzas Inn to benefit local AMIkids school

On Tuesday, Jan. 22, the Matanzas Inn Restaurant on Fort Myers Beach will donate 20 percent of each dinner ordered from a specially planned fixed price menu to AMIkids Southwest Florida, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing youth an opportunity to transform their lives.

Dinner guests will select from several options for appetizers and entrees. Diners may arrive at any time that evening but it is suggested they arrive between 5 and 6 p.m. The 20-percent donation applies to dinner selections from the planned AMIkids menu.

Known for its spectacular waterfront views of the harbor, Matanzas Inn specializes in local seafood, and offers a diverse selection of steaks, ribs & salads. The restaurant recently celebrated their 28th anniversary and is a favorite among the locals who enjoy a casual, old Florida atmosphere with nightly live entertainment.

Founded in 1969, AMIkids, Inc. is a nationally recognized not-for-profit that offers a promising future to more than 7,500 kids each year through positive and motivating programs that inspire learning, leadership and personal growth. AMIkids has 56 programs in nine states across the U.S. Through education, counseling and behavior modification students are empowered to make positive decisions that will ultimately shape their future.

AMIkids Southwest Florida (www.amikidssouthwestflorida.org) is located on Main Street on San Carlos Island, and the evening’s donations will help supplement counseling and mentoring programs designed to provide opportunities for the students to transform their lives.
