Kiwanis install officers at banquet
The FMB Kiwanis held their Installation Banquet at Charley’s Boathouse Grill on Oct. 6.
Trinky named Mark Wagner as “Volunteer of the Year.” Trinky also had a very special award to present to her husband, Robert Jarrett. She presented him with the Kiwanis Ralph Davis Fellow Award. Other members of the Beach Kiwanis were recognized for their participation.
In 2010/2011, the Fort Myers Beach Kiwanis are proud to have been involved in these projects; “Fun Run”, “Children’s Hospital” “One Million Meals”, “Beach School Library”, “Vacation Bible School”, “Gods Table”, “Scholarships”, “Summer Camp Programs”, Needy Families”, “Relay For Life”, “Christmas in Immoklee”, “Ronald McDonald House”, “Fort Beach Library”, among many other programs.
Bruce Boyd, Lt. Governor, and his wife, Donna, attended the dinner to uninstall and install our new officers. We thank Trinky and her officers for the legacy they have left us. The reins have now been turned over to President Bill Pearson and his officers.
The officers of the Fort Myers Beach Kiwanis are: President, Bill Pearson; President Elect- Tim Cherry; Secretary-Dean Southworth; Treasurer-Roger Welton; Assistant Treasurer-Eric Tibbs; Immediate Past President-Trinky Jarrett. The Board of Directors for 2012 consists of Joy Booth, Bob Allegier, Charles Richardson. With the entire support of the club, we look forward to another year of giving back to the Fort Myers Community.
