Public invited to Uncommon Friends annual meeting
The Uncommon Friends Foundation welcomes members and non-members to the annual membership meeting of the foundation on Thursday, July 14, at 3 p.m. at the Burroughs Home, Fort Myers. Nonmembers will have an opportunity to both learn about the nonprofit foundation and take a mini tour of the historic home.

Light refreshments, compliments of Costco, will be served. There is no cost to attend but reservations are requested and may be made by calling 337-9503.
The Uncommon Friends Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization established in 1993 dedicated to lifelong character-building among today’s youth and business leaders. The foundation teaches and recognizes the same positive values author James D. Newton discovered in five unique men and their wives-Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone, Dr. Alexis Carrel, and Charles Lindbergh-intellectual giants who helped shape the 20th Century. The foundation promotes character education in schools, business ethics in the workplace and historic preservation of the Burroughs Home and James Newton Archives.
