Advance Auto Parts introduces home delivery

Advance Auto Parts, a leading automotive aftermarket retailer of parts, accessories, batteries, and maintenance items today announced an industry first-a home delivery service and parts program called “DIY Home Delivery.” The concept is simple: Advance will deliver parts to customers when and where they need it most. Fort Myers is one of several markets currently offering this service.

“We’re always listening to our customers,” says Advance Auto Parts CEO Darren Jackson. “And they needed us to bring convenient solutions to them in the moment-and that’s not always in-store. DIY Home Delivery is a way for us to serve our customers in a way that makes their life easier, and it just reinforces our promise that service really is our best part.”

According to Jackson, DIY Home Delivery was a natural extension of Advance’s in-store service commitment, and spurred on by hundreds of customer stories pointing to the need for the program.

“Your family car is up on blocks and you realize you also need new brake rotors. You’re replacing your timing belt and you need a new tensioner too. These situations happen to people every day,” says Regional Vice President Ralph Gonzalez. “But if the vehicle is on blocks, or it simply won’t start, you’re out of luck. You need the store to come to you – and that’s exactly what our Home Delivery program does.”
