Shell Point director earns certification
The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, the country’s largest healthcare association focused on information technology, has awarded Linda Jansen, Director of Information Systems at Shell Point with the Society’s certification credential. The certification, known as Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems, is earned by an individual who has met the educational and work experience qualifying standards, as well as passing an extensive examination.
“The CPHIMS certification is a combination of both information technology and healthcare,” said Jansen. “It is an indicator of the knowledge I have gained throughout my years of service in the industry. It was a challenging test and I am happy to have achieved my certification in this.”
“By earning her certification credentials, Linda has demonstrated her professionalism, knowledge of current technology solutions, and understanding of industry standards and regulations,” said Tim Lochridge, Chief Financial Officer of Shell Point. “I congratulate Linda on this distinct accomplishment.”
Jansen has been with Shell Point for more than 15 years, and has her BA in Math Education from University of South Florida. Administered through a standards-based certification program, the CPHIMS credential offers healthcare information technology professionals, and employers hiring these individuals, a credible distinction in the marketplace. The CPHIMS credential validates professional competence, demonstrates application of current technology situation, and confirms a knowledge base to uphold industry standards and regulations.
