The hardy Pieces of Eight pirate crew will be taking over Big Game every Sunday evening during Pirate Ship Reggae Parties, starting at 5:30 p.m. this Sunday. Local reggae group Jahgape will jam from the ship while party guests live it up, laugh it up, dance it up, and drink it up, with free draft beer offered from a remote bar from 6:30 to 7, and 99-cent Foster’s drafts all night long. Big Game Bar and Grill (2500 Main St., FMB) is gonna have you saying “Arrrrrrrgh” to each and every weekend during their Pirate Ship Reggae Party, taking place every Sunday, beginning this weekend, April 3.

The Pieces of Eight Pirate Ship and its hardy crew will dock at Big Game each Sunday, offering guests live reggae music from local group Jahgape aboard the ship, while pillaging and plundering with the audience (in a good way) takes place.

“This Sunday will be the first time we’ll host the Pirate Ship Reggae Parties, offering them on a weekly basis through summer,” said Shawn Myers, general manager of Big Game Bar and Grill. “Music will take place from the pirate ship, live music from Jahgape at 7, and free draft beer for anyone from 6:30 to 7.”

That’s right, folks. Enjoy free draft beer from a remote bar by the pirate ship between 6:30 and 7 p.m. each Sunday during Pirate Ship Reggae Party nights.

There’s no fee to enter, and the fun begins at 5:30 p.m.

“It’s going to be a real party – beer pong, pool tables, Fosters draft beer for 99 cents, which is actually all-day, every-day. It’s going to be a lot of fun!” Shawn said.

Stop on down to Big Game Sunday nights and have a jammin’, pirating good time!

Big plans in the works

Big Game has gone through some party-house construction lately. On top of the Pirate Ship Reggae Parties held every Sunday, Shawn said a crew just put in all-new lighting, a dance floor, DJ equipment, mixer, sound booth and sound equipment.

“We’ve got a big dance floor and are going to do this all summer long,” Shawn said. “We’re trying to give something back to our tourists and locals – and make sure our locals have something fun to do during the summer. Look for lots of new stuff from us. We’ll be hosting numerous events throughout the summer.”
