Center offers ladies luncheon in Estero
Lifeline Family Center is having a Ladies Luncheon on March 31, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Grandezza Club in Estero. This event will feature a Fashion Show by Saks Fifth Avenue, a Silent Auction, Boutique vendors, an inspirational humorist, and the emcee will be Sandy Stillwell.
Lifeline Family Center is a two-year residential and educational program for at-risk pregnant teenagers located in Cape Coral, Florida. However, we serve all of Southwest Florida, and we are different from traditional maternity homes as we are able to offer our residents the opportunity to obtain a GED Degree and get career training in the field of their choice during their residency with us.
Our mission is to enable the young women in our program to redirect their lives and become self-supporting within two years after the birth of their child. We are unique in that we are not only concerned with saving a baby from abortion or a life of poverty and neglect, but also with educating the young mother with the skills and degrees she will need to provide a better life for her child and for herself. We care as much about the mother as we do the child, and our program addresses the needs of both.
We are able to accommodate 12 moms and 24 babies in our residential and educational home, and over 200 girls per year in our outreach-counseling program. Our program is “one of a kind” in Lee and Collier Counties and it is the only maternity home that provides extensive career training and long-term support for everyone, including teens off the street and those who find themselves homeless due to rejection.
