Marina club conducts ‘Human Measuring Stick Event’ in Estero Bay
The management team of Bonita Bay Marina Club and 36 club members took to the waters of Estero Bay recently to check the depth of waterways and showing new mean tide markers for Fish Trap Bay and Intrepid Waters, and verify new high tide shortcut markers across Estero Bay.
The group, led by Bonita Bay Marina Manager Tibe Larson and Dockmaster Dean Pauly, also checked the New Pass bridge area of the bay to determine the effects of the fill-in that has changed the water depth and markings over the past year.
Bonita Bay Marina Club offers slip rentals to residents and nonresidents with dry storage for vessels up to 32 feet and wet slips with lifts for vessels up to 16,000 lbs. The club features waterfront dining at Backwater Jacks for members and slip renters; a fully stocked ship’s store; private charters; bait and fuel. Marina Club members are also eligible for reciprocal privileges at other Yachting Club of America locations.
