You may now kiss the bride: Lani Kai now offers wedding and special event packages
Proud to offer “affordable weddings and events on Fort Myers Beach,” all-new Lani Kai wedding and events coordinator Caroline Epperson is eager to take charge of the new job at the local resort.
“I started Aug. 5 and already have 17 weddings and events planned to the end of the year,” Caroline said. “Larry (Puccia, manager of the resort), Mr. Conidaris (owner of the resort) and I have been friends for four years. I offered them to go a different direction for more weddings and big events at the resort. So, we worked together and built our wedding showroom downstairs.”
Caroline, a longtime resident and well-known bartender on the island, enjoys all of the planning and details that come along with organizing guest wedding packages.
“Everything can be done with one-stop shopping here,” she said. “I will take care of everything, from your cake and your rooms to your wedding ceremony, flowers, cocktail fountains, open bar, live music and reception.”
Right down to the last detail, Caroline can plan your wedding.
“I will work everything out for you right down to working your favorite colors throughout the package,” she said. “We can even help with tux and dress rentals. I have a premium vendor list, which consists of the best of the best around town, and we’ll get you precisely what you want and need for a perfect wedding on the beach, from spa retreats and hair salons to bands, photographers, food and beyond you name it.”
The resort has many different locations to offer to the wedding party and their guests.
“Being such a large resort, we have so many wonderful places to host your party or wedding reception,” Caroline said. “We have three premium rooms, including the lovely Island View Lounge on the top floor of the resort and the Sabal Palm dining hall, as well as two fabulous, air-conditioned gazebos on the top floor.”
Along with a great location, Caroline is eager to boast a great price.
“We have a number of fabulous wedding packages for you to choose from to fit any budget, so it doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg to get married on the beach,” she said. “Our Barefoot Beach package starts at just $599. From there, we can give you one of the most extravagant weddings you’ve ever imagined.”
Included in many of the resort’s special packages are rooms for the wedding party and their guests, including a honeymoon suite for the new, happy couple.
And, Caroline loves adding a little extra detail when planning the weddings and receptions, making sure to decorate the new bride and groom’s suite with their wedding colors and congratulatory gift packages.
“We like to set their suite up any way they want, in their colors,” she said. “And, I like to make them welcome packages. I’ll have lots of the candles and other fun trinkets in there, and specifically ask what they like to drink, to include a bottle or two in the package as well. I just want them to feel even more warm and comfortable after the ceremony.”
Caroline said, if booking with her and the Lani Kai, she will be your wedding coordinator and concierge around the clock, 24/7.
“We are great at affordable weddings. Once you sign our contract, I am yours and at your disposal 24/7 to make sure you are comfortable with all of your wedding planning decisions.”
Not just weddings
Although wedding planning is a very big part of the special events that take place at the Lani Kai, they certainly aren’t all that’s offered as a special planning service at the resort.
Caroline also plans and coordinates any other reason you would want to host a party whether it be family reunions, graduation parties and birthday celebrations to anniversaries, fraternity parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, high school reunions, baby Christenings and beyond.
“Whatever reason you’d want to throw a party, I can coordinate it for you here at the Lani Kai Resort,” Caroline said, who boasted about the recent 210-person Alpha Kappa fraternity from FGCU, a total of five bus-loads of students, who just booked a party at the resort through the new party planner.
