The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau will unveil a strategic partnership with a world renowned tourism mega-brand at its annual Team Tourism Summit from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Oct. 7, at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa.?The multi-platform partnership will provide the organization with a customized destination visitor guide, an e-book version of the guide and other digital solutions that will expand its marketing reach exponentially. The partnership also will allow the VCB to respond more effectively to social media that have created a demand for more content in more places.?Details of the new partnership will be subsequently posted to the VCB’s tourism industry partner website at www.LeeVCB.com. The organization also will debut its 2010-2011 sales and marketing plan, including its cooperative advertising program. The strategic partnership and sales and marketing plan will be presented from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., and the co-op advertising program will be presented in an optional session from 11 a.m. to noon.?Those who wish to attend the VCB’s annual Team Tourism Summit are asked to RSVP to LeeVCB@leegov.com by Oct. 1.
