A carnival-style fund-raiser will take place at Bonita Bill’s Saturday for local bartender Rosie Scuba.

A very special carnival-style fund-raiser for local woman Rosie Scuba will be held at Bonita Bill’s Waterfront Cafe, 702 Fisherman’s Wharf, Saturday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Rosie Scuba is a longtime beach bartender at the Barking Shark, as well as dock master at Put in Bay up north. Friend Missy Clausen said Rosie was recently diagnosed with bone cancer and lost a finger, then found out she had colon cancer.

She’s currently going through chemotherapy and needs help with her medical and daily expenses.

“We are having a family-fun event to help Rosie with her bills,” Missy said. “It will be a perfect, family-fun event!”

During the all-day fund-raiser, there certainly will be plenty of fun to be had by all members of the family from a dunk tank, corn hole for cancer tournament, a fortune teller and carnival games to the infamous potty toss, ring toss, darts, ducks, a popcorn machine, peanuts, caramel apples, rice crispy bars on a stick, lemonade, a shaved ice machine and more, all you need now are the rides!

Plus, there will be live music all day, as well as plenty of raffles, 50/50s, fun, fun, fun, and a small silent auction and prizes

“Thanks for your support and hope to see you there,” Missy said.
