Coldwell Banker donates $25,000 to USO for phone cards
Overseas troops can now call home through a Coldwell Banker donation. Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate CARES Foundation, the charitable arm of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, is helping troops deployed overseas stay in touch with their loved ones back home. This summer,CARESdonated $25,000 to AT&T/USO, providingFlorida’s troops with 1,600 Coldwell Banker-branded pre-paid international phone cards with300 minutes on each card.
Coldwell Banker, which has a Beach office at 7205 Estero Blvd., saw agents and employees from all regions of Florida offices hold fundraising events such asbake sales, golf tournaments and office luncheons to raise money for the CARES donation.
Robin Muzeka, branch manager at the company’s Lake Mary/Heathrow office and statewide chair of the CARES foundation, says, “It’s a hardship for U.S. troops to be away from their families while serving our nation overseas. We wanted to express our thanks by giving them free phone calls to loved ones back home.”
