Sanibel Harbour receives awards

2 min read

Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa recently announced not only its 20th year as a AAA Four-Diamond awarded property by AAA but Sanibel Harbour Marriott is among the top four percent of AAA Diamond rated hotels in the country. As a recipient of the AAA Four-Diamond Award since 1992, Sanibel Harbour Marriott is the only Four-Diamond rated property in Fort Myers.

“Our staff is so proud to have been awarded with the AAA Four-Diamond again,” says Cory Clark, general manager of Sanibel Harbour. “It takes everyone going above and beyond to earn the Four-Diamond rating and be in the top percentage of AAA rated properties in the country. We are truly honored.”

AAA annually evaluates more than 32,000 lodging establishments and rates them on a scale of one to five Diamonds, ranging from simple to luxurious. To qualify, properties must first meet 27 essential requirements based on member expectations, including cleanliness, comfort, security and safety. Properties are then selected for evaluation and need to demonstrate the strict quality guidelines required to be AAA-approved. The Four-Diamond rating indicates the extensiveness of services, amenities and dcor provided. These establishments are upscale in all areas. Accommodations are progressively more refined and stylish and the physical attributes

reflect an obvious enhanced level of quality throughout the hotel. The fundamental hallmarks at this level include a wide array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.

Sanibel Harbour joined the Marriott International family in December, bringing the first full-service Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand to Lee County. After a day at The Spa, guests dine at one of Executive Chef Felix Nunez’s seven dining options, which include tastes of everything from casual pool fare to a decadent steak restaurant and dinner aboard the Sanibel Harbour Princess, the resort’s 100-foot luxury yacht.
