Celebrating their one-year anniversary as co-owners of the Beach Pub, Lou Caleca and Tim Miller are hosting an all-day celebration Sunday, May 31.

“I’m really pleased with how the first year went,” co-owner Tim said. “All the renovations Lou did really changed the atmosphere in there. It really is fantastic, like all our customers keep saying.”

During the all-day party, enjoy live music from Blu Gumbo (beginning at 2 p.m.), along with plenty of prizes and giveaways, free food and drink specials.

Have fun in the sand playing volleyball and participating in the cornhole tourneys, or just test your skill on the dart board or outdoor pool table (“the only outdoor pool table on Fort Myers Beach,” Tim said).

Better hone your skills on the dart board, because Lou and Tim said they’re going to start a beach bar dart league between lots of the local beach bars.

Hanging out at the Beach Pub

The Beach Pub is at 1668 I St., almost directly behind Hooters, about a block south. The pub, now offering free WIFI service, is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, and offers plenty of live and local acts throughout the week (check our Beach Beat section toward the back of the paper for a precise schedule), along with darts, pool or just a great spot to chill on the beach.

As Tim concludes, “We appreciate the loyalty with our locals. And during spring break, everyone mixed and blended together well and had lots of fun. We’re looking forward to year two with more renovations and surprises.”
