Let’s get some Burgers on the Beach
With a dream in their hearts and a gleam in their eye, Cathy and Dennis Robinson watched their vision become a reality, when they moved to Fort Myers Beach from Ohio and opened Burgers on the Beach, Wings to the Left, an all-new beer and burger joint across the street from the Lani Kai, next to Abbott’s.
Serving a variety of fresh, hand-made, cooked-to-order specialties day in a day out, Dennis and Cathy are sure to keep their prices low, and the quality high, while keeping an upbeat and lively tropical atmosphere.
“Everything we make is fresh nothing’s ever frozen,” Cathy said. “We use fresh meat to make our juicy 6-ounce burgers, fresh potatoes for our hand-cut fries even our chicken wings are fresh and plump!”
While stopping in to Burgers on the Beach, diners have the luxury of enjoying their meal and/or beer/wine inside the air-conditioned dining room, at the bar, or outside on the nicely shaded, raised patio.
“We also have a separate dining area, which is great for larger parties,” Cathy said. “We often have women’s clubs, church groups, Sheriff’s deputies, after-hours events and others dining in there.”
Dennis said the double French doors to the private area really cut the noise down, and visitors can enjoy the large flatscreen TV that’s perched on its wall. (There’s no charge to utilize this secluded space.)
Flatscreens are also mounted in the regular dining area as well, and the restaurant is equipped with the HD package of DirectTV, complete with the NFL and baseball packages, along with the Big 10 Network.
And, this is a Browns and Steelers establishment. So, you might just get some kind of discount if you wear the appropriate gear. Dennis also plans to offer specials during the games.
The daily specials
Speaking of specials, Burgers on the Beach is full of them, offering at least one every day they’re open, all day.

If you don’t make it within the Attitude Adjustment Time, you can still enjoy $1.50 Bud or Bud Light drafts, all day, everyday.
Live music has been known to emanate acoustically from the outer deck from time to time, so keep your ears open for new entertainment every once in a while.
And, whether you’re a patron to the establishment or not, Dennis and Cathy encourage passers-by to stop in and enjoy some freshmade popcorn from their popcorn machine.
From our home to yours
“We’ve always had back-deck barbecues at our house, where we invite our friends and neighbors over to just have fun and enjoy themselves. What we serve there is what we serve here, it’s the same menu. So, this is just another one of our back-deck barbecues.
“We’re just a mom-and-pop setup, very laid back atmosphere, here to have fun a cater to our locals and visitors, keeping the food and drinks affordable,” Dennis concluded.
As one customer paying his tab replied when asked how everything was, he needed only one word to describe it, “Delicious.”
