Easter egg hunts on Fort Myers Beach
Lani Kai
Families are welcome to participate in the Lani Kai’s annual children’s Easter egg hunt taking place on the ground level of the Lani Kai, starting at 2 p.m. Easter Sunday, April 1, with two different age groups. Children ages 2 to 5 will egg-hunt in the resort’s fenced-in playground near the ice cream shop, and children ages 6 to 10 will egg-hunt nearby in a roped-off area. The Lani Kai plans to have more than 4,000 eggs, each stuffed with toys and treats, hidden throughout the locations so please be sure to bring your Easter egg baskets and bags to hold them all!
There is no charge to attend or participate, and the Easter bunny is planning to hop by, too!
Bay Oaks and Beach Kids Foundation
The Beach Kids Foundation, Fort Myers Beach Fire District and Bay Oaks are once again coordinating to host the annual Fort Myers Beach Easter egg hunt.
This year’s hunt will be held Saturday, March 31 at Bay Oaks Rec Center. The event is free, but registration by age group begins at 8 a.m. And the hunt begins at 9 a.m. Children 12 years old and younger can participate. New this year is a campus-wide egg hunt for children ages 8 to 12.
There will also be fun activities for the family, like slides, bounce houses, gifts and candy.
The hunt is accepting non-chocolate candy donations, which can be dropped off at the Red Coconut RV Park or Bay Oaks Recreational Center. Non-chocolate is preferred to prevent a melted mess.
