1 min read

If you’re traveling north or southbound on San Carlos Boulevard between Summerlin Road and Gladiolus, look out for delays.

The Florida Department of Transportation will begin work on two safety improvement projects Monday, Jan. 29.

FDOT is replacing the flexible stakes that separate lanes at the intersections of San Carlos Boulevard at Linda Loma Drive and Kelly Road. They will be replaced with concrete separators.

According to information from FDOT, crews will work during daytime hours but no lane closures will occur during peak times from 6 to 9 a.m.or 4 to 7 p.m.

Also beginning Monday, drivers who want to get on Kelly Road while traveling south on San Carlos Boulevard will be subject to a detour. Drivers will not be able to make a right turn from San Carlos to Kelly Road at the intersection. The detour take drivers southbound on SR 867/McGregor Boulevard to turn left onto Kelly Road.

The expected completion date for this project is spring 2018.
