Community Foundation walks the red carpet
It was lights, camera, action and costume at the Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation’s annual fundraiser.
This year’s sold-out event drew together 150 members of the community to support the organization for
“Lights! Camera! Action!” held at DiamondHead Resort.
Attendees and their tables all dressed up in costumes for their favorite movies or musicians, perused the silent auction and played the 50/50 and lottery raffles while enjoying dinner and drinks.
Foundation members Bobbi Kemp and Joanne Shamp co-chaired the event.
The annual fundraiser allows the foundation to give out many grants to local organizations. Some of last year’s grant recipients included the Beach Choice Market, Renee’s Closet at Beach Elementary School and The Mound House.
“I’m so grateful for the people who supported us. It takes a village,” Kemp said. “I love the creativity everyone had.”
