Shelly and Ricky Senter of Lakeland do a Halloween costume circuit with their Brussels Griffon, Gryfyn.

Grandview at Bay Beach held its first annual Halloween pet costume contest, and it was pawsitively adorable.

There were four dogs in this year’s contest, but everyone was a winner. Katie Torrence and terrier-mix Waldo of Fort Myers Beach dressed alike as a flock of flamingos; Waldo won funniest costume. Ricky and Shelly Senter of Lakelake brought their pup Gryfyn the Brussels Griffon in her very own set scene, “Blackbone Academy of Grog and Gruel for dogs.” The couple sets up a new scene for their girl every year and make a circuit around Florida, traveling to pet costume contests for the past eight years.

“She has a whole wardrobe at home,” Shelly said. Gryfyn won most unique look.

Suki the golden retriever and Patch the cocker spaniel dressed up as a Bavarian beer girl and boy, matching their owner Nadia Komaroski and Lisa Lang of Marco Island. Suki won best kisser, and Patch won cutest costume.
