Beach School students plant food garden

After the Estero Island Garden Club helped build raised garden boxes in January, students got to learn how to plant them last week. Members of the club came to the Beach School to teach students how to plan and care for their plants, which they will harvest to make a salad at the end of the growinf season. They planted herbs, fruits and vegetables together, along with help from local neighbors and the Fort Myers Beach Fire Control District.
