Putt & Pub Crawl seeks auction donations
While everyone practices their mini-golf swings, the Putt & Pub Crawl is asking for auction item donations.
The 7th annual bar crawl and fundraiser will be held from 10 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21. The event is organized by Lahaina Realty; this year’s fundraising efforts will benefit the Beach Elementary PTO and the Beach Soccer Club.
That money helps the PTO help pay for school field trips and most importantly, fully funds the elementary’s after-school programs.
For $225 per four-person team, groups can support the PTO and local business at the same time. The teams will have from 10 a.m.to 4:30 p.m.to visit the nine participating bars. Each bar will have a “goofy” golf hole set up for participants, as well as drink specials, prizes and raffles. Proceeds from the entry fees will be donated to the PTO and soccer club.
Ginger Weber, the fundraising chair for the PTO, said the event needs more auction items and will accept gift certificates or basket items for donation from local services and businesses.
The venues, also called Hole Sponsors, are Pete’s Time Out, PierSide Grill, Smokin’ Oyster Bar (SOB), Matanzas on the Bay, La Ola Surfside Restaurant, Gulfshore Grill and the Cottage, Mermaid Lounge, Yucatan Beach Stand, and the Salty Crab.

“The community is always there for us,” Weber said. “It all comes back around.”
