The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation held its primary fundraiser on Friday night to a sellout crowd at the DiamondHead resort. The evening consisted of silent auctions, raffles, horse races and line dancing! The event raised approximately $12,000 that will go directly to organizations supporting those in need on the beach.

The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation is a charitable foundation dedicated to working cooperatively to improve the quality of life in Fort Myers Beach and surrounding communities. Members raise funds and donate time to support the Beach Elementary School, Beach Library, Bay Oaks Recreation Center, Beach Historic Society, Keep Lee County Beautiful beach cleanups and Estero Bay cleanups, scholarships for local college students and summer camps, and more.

Dinner Meetings are generally the third Wednesday of the month, between the months of October through May. Please contact membership chair Judy Lawson (judyjerry@nwi.net) for information about joining our foundation or attending a meeting.
