Wife responds to article in local paper
To the editor:
My husband was asked to respond to an article that came out in the Sandpaper. I have responded to Mr. Conley, but as always he has to be right.
I admit my husband and I had a rough time in the last year. We are making amends and can live without the gossip and speculation.
My husband was arrested for domestic violence. Mr. Conley is doing an article about that. I didn’t know we were so interesting. It must be a slow news week. It was my daughter and Clark arguing, and my daughter picked up a picture frame and hit Clark. She broke his nose with the frame.
The police came and we had a choice. Clark could go to jail or my daughter would be taken away. He chose to go to jail. My daughter gave her statement and the police said that I had to write down what happened or it wouldn’t be good for my daughter. I did and then I became the victim somehow. I was not hurt. The only person who had marks was Clark, and he wouldn’t admit my daughter did it to protect her. I am working with the state attorney and the charges will be dropped.
