Kiwanis seeks community support in fundraising effort
The Gateway to the Islands Kiwanis Club is over halfway to their fundraising goal with their “Delicious Dining Discount” book fundraiser. The club has recruited 34 local restaurants in Southwest Lee County to offer dining discounts in a book available for twenty dollars. All the profits from the book will go back to help local children and the local community.
Buy one, get one free restaurants featured in the “Delicious Dining Discounts” book include Biddles, Blarney Stone, Ichabod’s, LaMotta’s, Lighthouse, Metropolitan, Parrot Key, South Beach Grille, Sunshine Seafood and Thai Tamarind.

Kiwanis is a global service organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. The club is looking for more service-minded individuals and business professionals who would like to make a direct impact on the community through volunteering. Meetings are held every Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. at the Crown Colony Golf and Country Club.
