Beach Elementary graduates fifth graders

The Beach Elementary School held its fifth grade graduation in the school cafeteria during an end-of-the-year assembly on Monday, June 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Principal Larry Wood congratulated the eventual high school graduating Class of 2016 and helped his teachers announce awards for the first time on the school’s new stage.
Some of the evening’s awards were the Carson Scholarship Fund: winner Tatum Flowers and nominees Annie Saylers and Brianna Walker; President’s Education Award: Annie Salyers, Stephanie Grimes, Martina Mausser and Logan Phillips; Citizenship awards: Sydney Wallace, Natalie Coveleski, Martina Mausser, Lisa Corbett, Jose Sigala, Annie Salyers, Bryanna Walker,
Jessica Huckeby, Lexi Hoerr, Kelsey Collins and Tatum Flowers; Academic
A Honor Roll: Annie Salyer; Highest Average in Social Studies: Annie Salyers
Highest average in Science: Jose Sigala; Highest achievement in Language:
Annie Salyers, Stephanie Grimes and Jessica Huckeby; Highest achievement in Reading: Bryanna Walker; and Highest achievement in Math: Annie Salyers.
Special Awards were given in the following subjects: Music, Bryanna Walker, and Kim Fischer; The Fine and Performing Arts Department for Lee County Honor Choir, Bryanna Walker, Kelsey Collins, Natalie Covelesk, Lexi Hoerr, and Martina Mausser; P.E., Tatum Flowers and Jose Sigala; and Art, Noel Delisser and Stephanie Grimes.
