Small business owners invited to network meeting
The Southwest Florida Small Business Resource Network invites small business owners to hear consultants discuss new tax laws and get answers to tax questions from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at Estero Embassy Suites Hotel, 10450 Corkscrew Commons Drive in Estero.
The event is a monthly meeting for the Southwest Florida SBRN and is sponsored by Florida Gulf Coast University’s Small Business Development Center.
The meeting theme is “What’s the Latest With Taxes for Small Business.” Facilitator for the evening is Marie Grasmeier, certified public accountant and certified management accountant for Grasmeier Business Services. Fred Tenorio of Ball, Shanaman & Tenorio will also be available to answer questions.
Topics to be discussed include “Stimulus Package Dollars for Small Business,” “Writing Off Costs for a Home Office,” and “Handling Notices from the IRS.”
Following the meeting will be the Resource Network’s monthly “Network After Five” social event where members network among themselves and exchange ideas for growing their businesses.
Deadline for registration is Tuesday, May 19. Cost for SBRN members is $15 per person for hors d’oeuvres. Cost for guests is $20.
