Love, Full Circle: George Dolinaj and Donna Haley.

He came close to marriage a couple of times. Now, in his 50’s, the possibility of finding someone to share his “golden years” with was passing him by. He no longer wanted to spend his spare time looking for the “right one”. He had the right one years ago, but it was not to be.

Now, he didn’t have time for romance, most of his time was occupied with taking care of his mother who was in the early stages of Alzheimer’s.

One day, out of the blue, his cousin phoned to tell him an old acquaintance of his had run into his first love. He starting reminiscing, counting back 35 years ago whenthey had been engaged. They were young, but so in love. At once, he knew he wanted to try get in touch with her. He was curious on

many levels to know how her life had turned out. He convinced himself it was just an old friend wanting to connect with someone from his past.

Using the Internet in his search for her, he discovered an e-mail address along with a phone number.

How lucky can a guy get! Thinking that phoning might be too personal, he opted to send an email.

After some time had passed and he hadn’t received any response, he decided to give the phone number a try. He reasoned if this failed it wasn’t meant to be. He dialed the number, very nervous, a million scenarios flowing through his mind. A female voice answered, and as he begins to say his name, she

immediately recognizes his voice. They had a conversation that went on for hours, it was like old times, they both felt a connection.. He realized then that he never stopped loving her. To his delight and surprise, he learned she was divorced, and she was surprised to discover that he had never married.

After weeks of endless long distance phone calls (he lived in Texas, she in Florida) they felt the time had come to see each other. With the arrangements made, he flew to Florida. How excited they both

were to finally see each other. They recognized each other immediately. She was, as he remembered, with the face of that special person he had seen only in his mind in recent years. After a few months of phone calls and several trips to see her, he knew he wanted to be with her, he had waited long enough, and so, on August 3, which just happened to be 35 years to day of his first proposal to her, he again asked her to marry him. Her answer was yes.

They have set the date for their wedding, June 20. The ceremony will be on Barefoot Beach in Bonita. To all who believe in true love, please send them a silent wish on their wedding day for much

happiness, after all, they waited a long time for it. Remember to never give up hoping that the best is yet to come.

Congratulations and Love,

Your Cousin,

Vicky
