Bowditch Point wins beautification award

1 min read

Bowditch Point at the northern tip of Estero Boulevard has been acknowledged for this month’s Town of Fort Myers Beach/Chamber of Commerce Alliance Commercial Award for beautification recognition.

Bowditch Point, over the years, has matured from a very low impact,

passive park into a high usage family destination offering sandy

beaches, shaded picnic areas, fishing coves, boat dock, butterfly garden

and tortoise area…all in an Old Florida Native setting.

Paul Yaccobelli, Lee County Parks supervisor of Bowditch, Lynn Hall, Matanzas Pass Preserve and Bay Oaks Gardens on Fort Myers Beach, and his staff should be recognized for their continued efforts in keeping Bowditch Point in pristeen condition. Every year improvements are added and every year more families discover this beautiful jewel of a Park on our island.
