Local Pilot club donates and honors
The Pilot Foundation of Fort Myers Beach announced a donation of a Home Deport grant and funds from the recent Fashion Show will be given to the Gresham-Kite Scholarship House at Florida Gulf Coast University as a memorial gift honoring Phyllis Rieves who died this year.
Rieves had served on the Board of the Scholarship House Foundation and as President Elect of the Board.
Donna Raymond, Fort Myers Beach Pilot President, appeared before the Scholarship Foundation with Nancy Mulholland and Alice Plaatje during the recent convention of the Florida District Pilots to make the presentation.
The Scholarship Foundation presents 18 Housing Scholarships per year to three of the state universities.
