> Saturday, March 7 Shrimp run
The Fort Myers Beach Lions Club will hold the 37th annual Shrimp Run for children in kindergarten through fifth grade with an 8 a.m. check-in.

> Sunday, March 8 Blessing of the Fleet
The Blessing of the Fleet celebration will take place from noon to 5 p.m. with the blessing ceremony by Bishop Dabney Smith slated for 2:30 p.m.
Saint Raphael’s Church will have its famous shrimp rolls at $5 apiece and can be ordered by calling the Parish office at 463-6057 or Dott Bellows at 482-6319.
> Saturday, March 14 Chamber’s 5K run
The Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce will hold its 24th annual 5K run. The Fort Myers Track Club-sanctioned event will begin at 9:30 a.m.

> Saturday, March 14 Parade
The 51st annual Lions Club Shrimp Festival parade will march down Estero Boulevard from School Street to the Matanzas Bridge at 10 a.m.
> Saturday, March 14 Queen ceremony
Judging and crowning of the 2009 Shrimp Queen will begin after the parade at Lynn Hall Park by the pier. The ceremony is sponsored by the FMB Lions Club.
> Saturday and Sunday, March 14-15 Vendors – food and crafts
During and after the parade, check out the exposition at Lynn Hall Memorial Park. You can enjoy the Lions Club famous shrimp dinners and different varieties of food and crafts.
