Local author holds book signings
New York Times best-selling author Randy Wayne White will be having two book sigings on consecutive days at Doc Ford’s Sanibel Rum Bar & Grill, a restaurant named after his main fictional character.
White, a resident of Southwest Florida since 1972 who currently lives on Pine Island, will sign his latest novel “Dead Silence” due out on March 10 from noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 8 and Monday, March 9. Doc Ford’s is located on 975 Rabbit Road on Sanibel.
White is best known for his series of crime novels featuring Ford, a retired National Security Agency member and marine biologist living on the Gulf Coast of south Florida.
His novels include “Sanibel Flats,” “The Heat Islands,” “Ten Thousand Islands,” “Everglades” and “Black Widow.”
“Dead Silence is my best favorite of the Ford thrillers,” White said.
