Annual Arbor Day sale returns to Beach

The Town of Fort Myers Beach and the Estero Island Garden Club will once again be selling trees at half price to Beach residents in celebration of National Arbor Day, Friday, April 24.

The sale which began March 9 and ends April 17 involves four different trees – Crape Myrtle, Jatropha, Live Oak and Christmas Palm – supplied by All Native Garden Center in Fort Myers.

The trees will be sold at half price – the town picks up the remaining tab – and can be purchased by calling Town Hall.

If interested in purchasing a half-priced tree, call Community Development Administrative Assistant Lois Poff at 765-0202, Ext. 139.

After purchase, the trees will be distributed at the Mound House on 289 Connecticut Street Friday, April 24 between 2 p.m. and 4p.m. only.

This year’s tree crop includes:

n Crape Myrtle 3 Gallon Size Your Cost: $5.00

n Jatropha 7 Gallon Size $15.00

n Live Oak 3 Gallon Size $5.00

n Christmas Palm 7 Gallon Size $17.50
