Child on bicycle strikes car along Estero Boulevard
Fort Myers Beach Fire Control District (FMBFCD) responded to a reported motor vehicle accident shortly after 2:20 p.m. yesterday.
Upon arrival FMBFCD firefighters found that a child on a bicycle had struck a vehicle while riding southbound along Estero Boulevard.
The 10- year old female suffered minor cuts and bruises and was transported with non-life threatening injuries to Health Park Hospital. This incident should serve as an important reminder to always wear a safety helmet when riding a bicycle.
