Putt & Pub Crawl sets cause for Jan. 16

Organizers have announced the sixth annual Putt & Pub Crawl has been set to benefit the Fort Myers Beach Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization at various participating watering holes on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016.
The Putt & Pub Crawl’s nine-hole course is expected to open at 10 a.m. The objective is to assemble a four-person team and complete the nine holes before 4:30 p.m. The cost to play is $200 per four-person team.
Participating sponsors and hole sites include Smokin’ Oyster Brewery, The Beach Pierside Grill, Matanzas On The Bay, Yucatan Beach Stand, The Salty Crab Bar & Grill, Mermaid Lounge & Liquors, The Gulfshore Grill Cottage, La Ola Surfside Restaurant and Pete’s Time Out. The after party will be held at the new Sunset Beach Grill.

The 2016 event will continue its positive tradition of helping out community charitable organizations. The first annual Putt & Pub Crawl benefitted Bay Oaks Recreational Campus Social Seniors, while the second event’s proceeds went to the VIP After-School Program at Beach Elementary, the third went to Fort Myers Beach Friends of the Arts, the fourth went to Fort Myers Beach Little League and last year’s fundraising went to Fort Myers Beach Soccer League.
