Bunny Kisses and Easter Wishes – Celebrating Easter on Fort Myers Beach

Whether you celebrate Easter by dining, egg-hunting, worshipping or perhaps a little of all three plenty of Easter fun is taking place along the isle of Fort Myers Beach this week.

Chloes at DiamondHead

Chloes will be offering a very special Easter buffet brunch Sunday, April 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring a tasty menu as well as visits from the Easter Bunny.

Menu items include breakfast entrees, such as eggs, bacon and sausage, a Belgian waffle station, chef-prepared omelet station and assorted pastries and breads; lunch items including soup and chowder, shrimp kabobs, chicken in lemon creme sauce, seared salmon with peanut and volcano glaze, mixed green salads; carving stations with leg of lamb, top round beef and baked ham, a dessert table, and special menu for younger children.

The cost is $35.95 for adults, $12.95 for children ages 4 to 10, and free for toddlers 3 and under. Reservations are suggested.

Lani Kai egg hunt celebration

The Easter Bunny is on the beach again this year after such a great turnout at the Lani Kai resort last year! Folks of the Lani Kai are offering a kid’s Easter egg hunt, as well as one especially for adults, too, with “adult” prizes and more than 2,000 eggs to discover in the sand.

The times of the hunts are:

10 a.m.: Infants to 5 years old

10:15 a.m.: 6 to 8 years old

10:30 a.m.: 9 to 12 years old

Matanzas on the Bay

Matanzas on the Bay will celebrate Easter Sunday April 16, offering all-day dining specials and live performances for guests to enjoy.

The Easter Sunday menu features two cuts of prime rib, including the 10-ounce Queen Cut with choice of potato and mixed vegetables for $26, the 12-ounce King Cut with choice of potato and mixed vegetables for $29, and the 8-ounce fresh cobia with lobster cream sauce and served with choice of potato and one side for $24.

The restaurant’s new weekend Brunch on the Bay menu will also be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring gulf shrimp and cheesy grits, raspberry stuffed French toast, Maine lobster benedict and spanish breakfast burrito, and drinks including the Matanzas’ Mary, Mimosa and Poinsettia.

Live music can be enjoyed throughout the day, with Gregg Watts performing from 1 to 4 p.m., followed by a performance by Sailor Larry, from 5 to 9 p.m.

Lakes Park Easter Bunny Express

A three-day event, the Lakes Park Easter Bunny Express will take off around the tracks Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 14 to 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The Easter Bunny Express train ride will be all decorated for Easter, and children and adults will have fun meeting and greeting the Easter Bunny, having special photos that will last a lifetime.

Please note, the Easter Bunny will be greeting children Friday and Saturday only. (He has a very tight schedule Sunday.)
