Tickets are still available to attend the Summerland Tour 2013 show, featuring Everclear, Filter, Live and Sponge.

Catch all of this alternative action locally at 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, at the Lee Civic Center, 11831 Bayshore Road, North Fort Myers.

After a wildly successful trek last year, Art Alexakis, frontman for the alternative rock group Everclear was sure to bring Summerland back this summer, hitting more than 35 U.S. cities. This time out, the band will share the stage with fellow rock outfits Live, Filter and Sponge, for a decidedly edgier Summerland trek.

Turn on radio stations across the country and you’re still likely to hear fistfuls of hits from these four bands. With songs like “Father of Mine,” “Santa Monica,” “Lightning Crashes,” “I Alone,” “Hey Man, Nice Shot,” “Take a Picture,” “Plowed” and “Molly” and the list goes on and on being played night in and night out by Everclear, Live, Filter and Sponge, Summerland 2013 represents a huge value for music fans, and a great summer night out.

“Last year’s Summerland was a blast,” said the tour creator Art Alexakis. “This year we’ve brought a decidedly edgier flavor bill to satisfy all of the fans of ’90s rock and roll out there. It’s going to be an amazing summer night every night on the Summerland 2013 Alternative Guitars tour.”

Tickets to the Fort Myers show are still available, and are $30 general admission, $40 floor seats, and Everclear Summerland VIP packages are available, too, including great tickets, meet-and-greets, an acoustic performance, exclusive merchandise and more are available, as well.
