The staff of Nervous Nellie’s is eager to boast its next upcoming outdoor Spring Fling concert through WINK 96.9-FM, featuring headlining chart-toppers Lifehouse, with special guests Junior Doctor, Matt Hires and Ginny Blackmore, along with great local entertainment starting the day, Saturday, April 13, with music from the big stage kicking off at 12:30 p.m.

“We’re super excited to have these bands,” said Stephen DeAngelis, co-assistant manager of the establishment. “We’re trying to elevate the entertainment on Fort Myers Beach, the daytime concerts, even after season. It’s something we’re all looking forward to.”

The concert will be taking place from the grand stage that will be set up in the parking lot of the Bay Walk establishment, beginning at 12:30 that afternoon, but Stephen is sure to point out that Nervous Nellie’s will be kicking off festivities with a pre-party at 11 a.m.

“High Tide will be rocking the back deck during sound checks, getting the crowd warmed up and excited for a great concert,” he said. “We’ll be running some great drink specials from the bar that day, too, including the WINK Drink, sponsored by Sailor Jerry’s, which is a tasty rum punch. It’s $9 and you get to keep the glass.”

Lifehouse is an alternative band that’s been rocking the big stages since the late ’90s. Singles you may remember include “Hanging by a Moment” “Sick Cycle Carousel,” “Breathing,” “Spin,” “Take Me Away,” “You and Me,” “Blind,” “First Time,” “Whatever It Takes,” “Broken,” “Halfway Gone,” “All In,” “Falling In,” “Between the Raindrops,” and “Gotta Be Tonight.”

“I’m so excited to see Lifehouse live they’re incredible. I’ve seen them at least 10 times, and they always put on an awesome show,” said Kylie Stegenga, local rocker and soon-to-be concert-goer.

Outside during the show, Cheney Bros. Food Service set up with their super smoker, offering a great selection of freshly BBQ-ed goodies.

The concert is an all-ages show. Tickets are $15 in advance and may be purchased on WINK’s website, WINKFM.TicketLeap.com/Spring-Fling. At the gate that day, tickets will be $20 for all ages.

Blankets and lawn chairs are permitted at the show, but bottles, cans and coolers are not.

As for parking, “Parking will be available at area lots. But, anyone coming from off-island is encouraged to park at the old Winn Dixie plaza (Summerlin Square Crossing) and take the trolley or car pool. There will be extra trolleys running that day,” Stephen said.

And, don’t leave after Lifehouse finishes their set! Nervous Nellie’s is hosting an after-party upstairs at Ugly’s, where it’s happy hour all day, every day. Remedy will rock the house from 8 to 11 p.m. Nervous Nellie’s will be open during regular business hours. For more information, visit WINKFM.TicketLeap.com/Spring-Fling.
