After the first two successful tapings of the first season of StetTV, episode three is up next, taking place at The Spot, 2213 Main St., downtown Fort Myers, Friday, July 9. The featured act will be 10,000 Views, a band that describes itself as a “stripped-down, hard rock/metal band, with an emphasis on simplicity and minimal production.”

Its members are comprised of beach locals, including Tim Johnston on lead guitar, T-Bone on bass, Scott on guitar and Shawn on drums.

Diane Russell will open the show, beginning at 9:30 p.m., 10,000 Views will take the stage around 10:30 p.m., and the StetTV Band will close it around midnight, followed by an all-out jam session after that.

“10,000 Views is a great band,” said StetTV director Mike Wright. “They play all-original music, and lead guitarist Tim Johnston is one of the most talented musicians around.”

Mike said the turn-out for the episode tapings have been great so far.

“It was great seeing our islanders follow us all the way downtown to see the show,” he said.

During the last taping of the show, Stet, an eight-year island resident, whipped out his trusty beer bottles for a heart-thumping drum solo that had you begging not to see the first-aid kit that night. (The bottles ended up breaking, but Stet was cut-free.)

The next show may be a bit different.

“I’m practicing to make sure my beer bottle routine doesn’t end as fragmented disaster like last time,” he joked.

Stet, who has lived the rock life all his life, was the drummer for 80s group W.A.S.P., as well as Blackfoot, Carnival of Souls and Sister, and since living locally, has been a prime member of Tribal Tongue, Temple of Brutality, the Howlin’ Dogs, and more. And now, he is the master of the StetTV Band, a well-oiled composition of Stet, John Hyatt and T-Bone.

During the upcoming gig, multiple cameras and a professional camera crew will be filming and documenting all of the non-stop rockin’ that will be taking place.

The cost to attend the downtown gig is $5.

Stet said they plan to hold the fourth episode taping somewhere on Fort Myers Beach.
