FMB spots offer July 4th specials

The Beach Pub’s hosting an all-day party on the beach, with plenty of live music and drink specials for all. The all-new Anthem will rock the house from 2 to 6 p.m. Come down and show your patriotism while enjoying the fireworks in the sand.
Jimmy B’s

Jimmy B’s is hosting a big BBQ party on the old Dssledorf’s patio area. Starting around noon, enjoy hamburgers ($5 a plate) and hot dogs ($4 a plate), along with beans, chips and all the works.
A 50/50 drawing will also take place, benefitting military families who usually aren’t able to receive aid.
Live music from Phil Oxford will reign up above, then the local performer will head down to the patio later on. The Down South Rockers will rock upstairs from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Enjoy the lounge’s new $5 breakfast menu from 9 a.m. to noon with your first bloody Mary, mimosa or screwdriver included. Choose from scrambled eggs with bacon or sausage, home fries and toast; a bagel with cream cheese and fresh fruit; a croissant with jelly and fresh fruit; Jimmy B’s LT (egg, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato on toast) with home fries; thick cut French toast with bacon or sausage; or biscuits and gravy.
After that, bloody Marys are $1, and mimosas and screwdrivers are $1.50.
For parking, motorcycles are encouraged to park under the parking garage. Others should look throughout the parking area in the back.
Enjoy all-day happy hour from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, with select domestic bottles $1.75 and $2.50 well drinks, starting back up again from midnight to 2 a.m.

Parrot Key suggests reservations during the July 4th weekend. Enjoy patriotic drink specials while watching the fireworks display on the back bay.

Just because this pub’s all Irish doesn’t mean it can’t show its American patriotism. Check out Steve “the Lucky Dog” Lutke outside during the day, from noon to 4 p.m. before the fireworks, and after fireworks around 10 p.m. Enjoy hot dogs and brauts outside all day and all night. Beer specials will include $2 domestic bottles all day. Come sit and watch the parade go by.

This bayside establishment will host a kid’s coloring contest July 4th with a steel drums on the agenda from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the fountain. Celebrity judging will take place at 4 p.m., and free crayons and prizes for all.
Enjoy happy hour from noon to 6 p.m., with $2.50 to $3.50 drinks, beer and wine and $5 appetizers. Summer Stimulus lunches are every day from noon to 4 p.m. for $5 to $8. And get $1 off all kid’s meals from noon to 6 p.m. daily with adult purchase.
Tropics

Tropics is having a BBQ bash with Z100-FM this July 4th, with a live broadcast in the early evening. Nikki and the Wild Bunch from 105.5-FM may pop in during the day, too. Z100’s calling this place the official fireworks after-party and 105.5-FM’s saying it’s the official pre-fireworks party.
There will be plenty of food and drink specials all day long. Also look forward to Steve Farst performing next Monday.
Yucatan Beach Stand

Show your all-American spirit by entering the Yucatan’s hot dog eating contest.
Sign up is between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 4 for a $10 fee, with first prize getting $100 cash, second place getting a $50 gift certificate and a $25 gift certificate for third. All contestants will get a T-shirt and a roll of Tums.
Also enjoy Dogs of the Nation: a collection of hot dogs from around the country. Try the NYC sauerkraut and mustard dog, a Chicago dog with tomatoes, pickles, lettuce and onions or a Southwestern chili dog with beans.
And the Yucatan’s signature hot dog is always available the 1/2-pound homewrecker, for the serious hot dog lover out there.
During July 4th, all-American 16-ounce draft products are $2.50 all day long, and Jan Miller and Stevie D. will emcee throughout the day.
