Estero High School sets summer band camp schedule
EHS Marching Band Camp 2009
This summer’s band camp will be held at Estero HS and is scheduled:
August 4-7 leadership 8:00am to 2:00pm
August 6-7 Rookie Camp (for freshmen) 8:00am to noon
August 10-15 full band 7:30am to 8:30pm
Mandatory meeting for marching band students and parents
All marching band students and at least one parent or guardian should plan to attend a mandatory meeting in the EHS auditorium at 7 p.m., Wednesday, August 5. This meeting is to get ready for band camp and the upcoming school year.
Summer marching band rehearsals
There will be marching band rehearsals each Tuesday in July with Messrs, Staas and Devitt from 5 to 7 p.m. at the school. This is to help students get ready for marching season, and they should attend if possible. If a student has questions s/he should call his/her section leader.
Music Boosters meeting
The July 14 meeting will be held at the South County Regional Library on Three Oaks Parkway at 7 p.m. All parents and interested community members are invited to attend. Part of the meeting will involve plans for this summer’s band camp.

As you might have heard, the school board has cut the funding for the school’s music program, so any and all help will be much appreciated. The Estero Band Boosters is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and your donation may be tax deductible.
