Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation raises more than $10K
The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation raised more than $10,000 at its recent virtual auction.
The auction brought the organization closer to its goal of raising $21,000 in 2021 to put back in the community, Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation Communications Lead Jessica Hernstadt said.
“Our last membership meeting this year/season will be on April 14 at the Island Pancake House, and we will be voting on the board’s recommendations on how to distribute funds. Currently we have four scholarship applications that are being reviewed,” Hernstadt stated in an email.
“We were also fortunate to be approved for an environmental grant from Surfing’s Evolution & Preservation Foundation for $1,000 to assist with beach clean-ups and conservation efforts,” Hernstadt stated.
