After a head-spinning turn of shows from the “Fall Show” to the “Art Divine” to the winter show, “Anything Goes” and the Student Scholarship Show, the Fort Myers Beach Art Association is settling down for its non-judged “Summer Show,” which begins Saturday and runs into October.

More than 80 selections of original artwork by its members are being shown in both galleries. The gallery is now open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with limited capacity and masking required. Beginning April 15th, the gallery will follow the summer schedule being open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. through noon. Mini masters continue to be for sale, priced at $10 a piece for matted original artwork.

“Our walls are full. We have a nice variety of artwork. A lot of it’

s beachy, some of it is abstract,” Flaherty said. There is also a mixture of different art forms. Flaherty expects more art to be arriving.

In addition, there is artwork for sale in the gallery’s bins which have not been framed.

The art association’s partnership with the Shucker’s Galleria continues. Milly Pereira will be the April artist of the month at the Shucker’s Galleria, located inside the dining room of the restaurant at 1250 Estero Boulevard on Fort Myers Beach.

This work of art by local artist Milly Pereira is one of several by the artist being shown at the Shucker's Galleria on Estero Boulevard in Fort Myers Beach beginning April 7.

The Fort Myers Beach Arts Association Gallery is located at 3030 Shell Mound Blvd on the corner of Donora & Shell Mound Blvd, one mile south of the Matanzas Bridge. The gallery can be reached at 239-463-3909. For more details, visit the website for updates at www.fortmyersbeachart.com.
