Art association in full swing
Fort Myers Beach Art Association fall show running, Art Walk at Shucker's this Tuesday
The Fort Myers Beach Art Association is in full bloom with its fall show “Calm in Chaos” running through Dec. 3 and its “Art Walk” partnership with Shucker’s at the Gulfshore and The Cottage Bar running Tuesday beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Sue Pink’s “Blu” took home first prize in the Fort Myers Beach Art Association’s Fall judged show, with Robert Mueller’s “Bushwick Avenue” runner-up. Third place went to Julie Nusbaum’s “Just a Little Outside,” Maya Bryant for “Plein Air” and Carol Goodling for “Under the Bridge” in the results announced this past week by the organization.
The fall show, titled “Calm in Chaos,” is running through Dec. 3 at the gallery, located at the corner of Donora Boulevard and Shell Mound Boulevard. The gallery is open to the public from Monday through Thursday during the hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with limited capacity and masking required. There is a variety of framed and matted works for sale. The show was sponsored by the Red Coconut RV park.
The “Art Walk” will feature Fort Myers Beach Art Association members and other artists at Shucker’s at the Gulfshore and The Cottage Bar on Estero Boulevard. Plein air painters from the art association will be on site. Artist John Rizza has been named artist of the month at the Shucker’s Galleria, where the association has been displaying and selling artwork inside the dining room.
In addition, the association is doing plein air painting each Wednesday morning outside. All artists are welcome to come and paint.

December 2 Koreshan State Park
